ORDINARY ANGELS
Some movies remind us how much goodness there is in the world, even when life gives us every reason to forget. Ordinary Angels, starring Hilary Swank, is one of those movies. ❤️
Inspired by a true story, it follows a hairdresser who becomes determined to help a widowed father whose youngest daughter needs a liver transplant. What unfolds is a beautiful story about hope, second chances, and people showing up for one another when it matters most.
Hilary Swank brings so much heart to her character. She’s imperfect, stubborn, and struggling with her own life, yet she finds a way to make a difference in someone else’s. Alan Ritchson is equally moving as a father trying to hold everything together while carrying more than anyone should have to.
What I love most is the reminder that we don’t need to have everything figured out to offer something good to the world. Sometimes, we start with what we have. A phone call. Our time. A little persistence. The willingness to say, “Let me see what I can do.”
There are moments when you can guess where the story is going, but that doesn’t take away from its heart. Watching a community come together for one family is something I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of.
A beautiful, emotional movie about faith, kindness, and love put into action. Keep the tissues nearby!
And maybe a little question to carry with us afterward: Who in our own lives could use someone showing up for them today? ❤️
